The Office of Inspector General provides independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the agency’s operations.
The office provides a central point to coordinate activities that promote accountability, integrity and efficiency in government. The office helps the Department accomplish its objectives by providing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating risk management, internal controls and agency performance.
